MACHINE GUN AMERICA

Privacy Policy

Plainly, and without the parts nobody reads. Last updated 23 September 2026.

WHO THIS IS
FIRECON is the guest app for Machine Gun America, a shooting range in Kissimmee, Florida. This policy covers the FIRECON app on iOS, Android and the web (app.machinegunamerica.com), our emails and text messages, and the range systems they talk to: the front desk and the bays.
Questions, or a request about your own data: info@bigdevelop.com.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Only what the range actually needs to let you shoot, and to keep a record of it.
When you sign up: your name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, your language, and the link or QR code that brought you. Your date of birth is required because the range is age-restricted.
When you sign in: the one-time code proves you control that email address or mobile number, and we record that it was verified. You pick a callsign, and you can add optional profile details such as gender.
Children a parent adds: the child's name and date of birth, and nothing else. A child has no email address, phone number or login of their own with us.
When you sign an agreement (the waiver): your legal name and date of birth, which agreement and which language, your initials on each section, the name you type and the signature you draw (as the lines you drew, with no pressure or timing), your consent to sign electronically, how long each section was on screen and the text size it was shown at, and the app version. For a child, the parent's name and the link between parent and child.
Eligibility: we record only that you confirmed the eligibility statements, and which version of them. We never store your individual answers. Visitors who entered the United States on a visa are asked to bring a U.S. hunting license; we store only whether one will be needed, never your citizenship or visa type.
When you take the safety brief: the language, your answers, that you passed, and when.
At the front desk on the day: staff look at your photo ID, but we never store ID numbers and never keep an image or copy of your ID. We record the type of ID, the issuing state or country, whether the date of birth matched, who checked it and when; your confirmation that your answers are still true today; and, where it applies, that a hunting license was seen (its state and expiry) or that a paper agreement is on file.
Your choices: when you tick an optional box (marketing emails, promotional texts, photos in ads, your real name on leaderboards) we record which box, the exact email address or mobile number it covers, the version of the words you were shown, when, where (sign-up, the app or the desk), and a one-way hash of your IP address with your device and browser type. The same is recorded when you withdraw.
When you book: the date, the package, the size of your group, your name and email address, and the names and email addresses you enter for the people coming with you.
When you shoot: the rounds you fire, where they landed on the target, and pictures of your target at the end of the session.
When you buy something: what was sold, by whom, and what it cost. Card payments go through a card processor; your card number never reaches us.
Technical: your device and browser type, and a one-way hash of your IP address used to stop abuse. We do not keep the IP address itself, or your precise location.
WHAT WE NEVER ASK FOR
Your ID number, a photo of your ID, or your Social Security number. Anything about your health, pregnancy, medication or mental health. What guns you own. Your address, travel plans or hotel.
Shooting safely matters more than any form, so range staff are trained to look out for guests instead.
WHY WE COLLECT IT
To check you are old enough and cleared to be on the range. To hold the agreement you signed and prove it has not been changed. To check you in on the day. To run your session and show you your own scores and targets. To send your sign-in codes, your Dog Tag, a copy of your agreement and messages about your bookings and visits. To take payment. To stop people abusing the sign-up and sign-in forms.
And, only if you said yes, to send you offers and news, or to use your name or picture as you agreed.
That is the whole list. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
MOBILE NUMBERS AND TEXT MESSAGES
We text your mobile number one-time verification codes and updates about your bookings and visits. Promotional texts come only if you ticked the box for them, which is never ticked for you, and never to anyone under 18.
Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
We never sell your mobile number. No mobile information, including your text-message opt-in data and consent, is shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Twilio delivers our texts and one-time codes for us, under contract, and may use your number only to do that. The SMS Terms at /terms explain the program in full.
EMAIL
We email what you need to visit: your sign-in code, your Dog Tag, a copy of your signed agreement and messages about your bookings. Those are sent whether or not you ticked the marketing box.
Offers and news come only if you ticked that box, and every one of them has an unsubscribe link.
We do not track whether you open our emails or which links you click. Twilio SendGrid sends our email for us, under contract.
WHO ELSE SEES IT
Only these people, and no others.
Machine Gun America staff, to run the range. The front desk sees your date of birth so it can compare it with your ID; a Range Safety Officer sees who is on their firing line.
Whoever booked for your group sees the names they entered and whether each person has signed. They never see anyone's age, date of birth or agreement.
Companies that run the software for us, under contract and only for that purpose: Twilio (texts and one-time codes), Twilio SendGrid (email), Vercel (the app and website) and Neon (the database). They may not use your information for anything of their own.
Law enforcement or a court, if we are legally required to hand something over.
WE DO NOT SELL YOUR DATA
We do not sell personal data, including sensitive data such as a child's information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
Signed agreements, the record of how they were signed, and desk check-ins are kept for 7 years after the last visit the agreement covered. That is how long a claim about a visit can still be brought, including one on behalf of a child, and these are the documents that answer it. If there is an incident, everything about it is kept until the matter is closed, plus 5 years.
The record of each consent you gave or withdrew is kept for as long as we might need to show what you agreed to, and when.
Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Everything else (your account, contact details, callsign, scores and targets) you can delete whenever you like. When a record's time is up, it is securely deleted.
YOUR CHOICES, AND DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT
You can change your marketing, photo and leaderboard choices at any time: in the app, by replying STOP to a text, through the unsubscribe link in an email, or by writing to info@bigdevelop.com.
To delete your account, open your profile in the app and choose to close your account. It takes effect immediately: your account, callsign, phone number, email address, saved targets and place on every session roster are deleted, and so are the details of any child you added who has no signed agreement.
The rounds you fired stay in that session's history with your name taken off them. Signed agreements, check-ins and consent records stay for the reasons above. The app tells you exactly this before you confirm.
If you would rather we did it for you, email info@bigdevelop.com.
CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS
You must be 13 or older to create your own FIRECON account. A younger child can only be added by a parent, from the parent's own account, with just their name and date of birth. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13, and if we find we have, we delete it.
Teenagers aged 13 to 17 can have their own account, but a parent signs their agreement from the parent's own account. Nobody under 18 is offered marketing emails or promotional texts, and a child's name or picture is only used publicly if a parent opts in for them.
HOW IT IS PROTECTED
Everything travels over HTTPS. The database is not reachable from the public internet; only the range's own servers can open it. Signed agreements, check-ins and consent records are stored so that they cannot be edited or deleted after the fact, which is what makes them worth having.
No system is perfect. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you within the time Florida law requires.
CAMERAS AT THE RANGE
The range records video for safety, security and operations, and cameras score your target automatically. There is no audio recording anywhere on the premises, and we do not use face recognition.
Leaderboards show your callsign. Your real name on a leaderboard, or your picture in our ads and social media, needs you to opt in, and you can turn either off again at any time.
CHANGES
This policy was last updated on 23 September 2026. If we change something that matters, we will say so in the app rather than quietly editing this page.
